This post assumes that the end goal is for Cumala to "win" but given how hard they have tanked this election certainly lends credence to my belief that they are going to let Trump win in order to then kick the artificial supports out from the teetering economy in order to blame the Orange Man and install someone more palatable to the Left and the Beltway "Right" in the name of saving America.

Hard times are coming no matter who occupies the executive office.

As an outsider, this is about the only explanation that makes any sense of the Democrats’ and MSM’s behaviour since they gave Biden the heave-ho. Otherwise, it’s just lunacy. Which is also a possibility.

There is plenty of that as well, I doubt They have given much thought to how this can spiral out of control.

The question is, are they thinking at all?

They won't be able to scramble fast enough to prevent the good times which are coming.

The greatest danger with the election I see is, Trump wins and the regime and media foment a lefty "rebellion", aka breaking and burning things, as a means for the regime to declare martial law. The regime is a paper tiger, but the mere act of declaring martial law destabilizes everything.

Would it really bother you to watch city hall go up in flames in Minneapolis?

Martial law is for city dwellers. Folks like you and me won't notice a thing.

I'd think the greatest danger is that they steal it again, install Harris, and she girlbosses her way into WWIII by trying to show she's tougher than Putin and the other men running serious nations.

Expand full comment

Possible. Though somehow she has managed to make herself even less popular than Hillary, lol. At this point they must know, the vast majority of Americans would not believe she won.

Expand full comment

That’s pretty damn unpopular! 😂

Expand full comment

She is less popular than Hillary, but since the government made it OK for the military to kill its own citizens, I’m wondering if they will blatantly, flagrantly cheat, and uses as an excuse to kill all maga

If they kill even a few that is the end of the regime.

The Brits are all over Substack opining on our election. They are also out campaigning with Kamala. Frankly, I look askance at these shenanigans as they have a bloody mess at home they need to handle.

As a Brit, I would like to opine that I truly hope Mr Trump wins next week and that the U.K. government is the worst we have ever had. I am deeply ashamed of it and of everyone (a comparative few) who voted for it. The world is extremely badly governed at the moment - such incompetence may be by design, time will tell.

Very nice article. In my opinion I think it's not going to happen, if there will be enough strong leaders to take over and direct the crowds. The Left is not at all united behind Kamala Harris and after the covid scam and whole 4 years of Biden, there is not much support in the monumentum anymore. Everyone sees, that the economy is in deadly spiral and the things they do are just incredibly evil. This is not what we wanted and we need to return back to left politics for people.

After elections it’s crucial, all the "bad liberals" (https://growsomelabia.substack.com/p/bad-liberals-we-are-everywhere) or people who were silent and followed the left insane crowd has to stand up. There has to be movement and uprising on the left, which will proclaim that the elections legitimacy can not be disputed as it would undermine whole democratical structure. It has to be the non-fanatical fraction and people on left, who have seen what has happened but due to their cowardice or financial motivation styed silent.

Now is their time, they had to stand-up and proclaim, that the Left went on deadly path, which can be only corrected by new leadership and retreat into opposition to consolidate their powers and get back on the left ideology landscape. Together with this, the Trump crowd has to openly and transparently declare victory and start dialog with the former-left liberals about the transfer of the power and propose the steps, how to deescalate the tensions.

My concern about Trump is that he hasn't learned enough from his past mistakes and is still too easily swayed into hiring the wrong people. Laura Loomer on X is warning about this, not just with respect to Trump's team but his potential support for GOP leaders who will flatter him in person and then work against his agenda once in office. He's too moderate. We need to deport 60 million people. He's not going to do that.

Your point about post-election actions by the Democrats causes me to repeat my proposal that the outgoing government and officials must be frozen on election day, and the newly elected government and officials must take office immediately or ASAP. These months of delays from the 18th century are totally inappropriate and now highly dangerous.

As a Brit, I have never understood why America does administration change the way you do.

I know it’s said that we are very brutal about it, “You lost, now F off “ the next day, but it does prevent the outgoing administration from digging booby traps and other mischief (or spite) for the next guy.

However, the American way of changing the Civil Service with the administration is far more sensible than the British way of a fixed Civil Service, that is supposed to be politically agnostic and unbiased, and patently isn’t- certainly since Blair.

The left get no argument from the Civil Service and the Courts, the right have to fight every inch.

I think the dates when various events take place, from the date of the election to the date the new administration is in office, are set in the Constitution. The new administration originally took office in March, based on the difficulties of travel over long distances in a country with poor infrastructure. It takes a Constitutional Amendment to modernize the procedure, which requires approval by 2/3 of both House and Senate, and approval by 2/3 of the 50 state legislatures. The dates were changed once.

If you watch the Joe Rogan podcast with Trump, Trump says there are 10,000 political appointments the new administration has to make, of which the President makes about 100 directly, and then those appointees appoint their subordinates. I believe it's the 100 direct appointments that must be approved by the Senate. It's really just the top of what you called the civil service. The government employees below that level have essentially permanent jobs because however the civil service rules developed, they made it extremely difficult to fire anyone, and there are millions of them.

I can only hope that the public is angry enough to finally change the system and eliminate the majority of it.

I've posed this question to a lot of people, and havn't received any halfway-decent response. The U.S. has a $2 trillion dollar deficit sitting on top of a $35 trillion dollar national debt. It has persistently high inflation that it can't solve without hiking interest rates much further, which it can't do because then the economy would fall apart. 20 million illegals were let into the country in the last four years alone and there are 50+ million illegals overall.

If Trump wins he will likely try for some actions - there *is* a national level intra-elite competition happening, which is below the level of our international central bank owning financial class control which is unified - but the fundamentals are locked in place. The Fed cannot raise rates and cannot lower them without major consequences. Trump will not evict 20 million illegals. In other words, his presidency if he wins will result in the continuation of neoliberal feudalism and a massive decline in people's quality of life. If you have an argument against this, one that takes into account Trump's first term (where the deficit ran at 1.5 trillion per year and he printed $11 trillion during fraudvirus and he evicted no one, where he pushed endless "legal" immigration) I am open to hearing it.

I’ve been watching the silver and gold markets and they are poised to explode. Trumps got an idea or two about the central bank systems-tossing it all out after it crashes. The markets aren’t acting as they have historically, especially after the huge mistake of the incorrect jobs report that came out last month. Somethings coming.

Good stuff here. But my own hypothesis is that Israel has chosen Trump, so that's what it will be. Oh, there'll be screaming from the MSM talking heads, but no one will be allowed to riot. Unlike Trump, BLM officials are actually heading to jail, and antifa is MIA. Something like what you describe -- "PMC efforts to prevent “handing over power to a fascist.” "-- is going on in Europe, such as Germany, where they simply aren't allowing the AfD to form a government, or France where all the parties work together against Le Pen. But that's because Europe doesn't matter, at least to Israel. The USA is Israel's golem, so it's absolutely essential to have a reliable shabbos goy in charge. Biden isn't, since he has to make phony concessions to placate the Arabs and campus Leftists in his party. Trump's evangelicals and businessmen are firmly in Israel's pockets, so it will be Trump. But next Tuesday will reveal all!

Interesting essay. I'm not sure I agree that the Left is going to freak out and burn stuff down when they lose. I sense a weariness, I think they're ready to rest for awhile. It feels like we're heading for Reagan Pt II, where the leftists give up and join the conservatives. A national time-out if you will, so that Trump/Vance can stabilize things for a decade.

Millennials are hitting their 40's and ready to just have the money and be done with the histrionics. Yuppies are coming back. It'll be the 80's again, 'murica rah rah and all that.

Not sure if it will work though. The US had a lot more financial options in the 80's.

Would anyone mourn the loss of Seattle? Most of the historical monuments have already been removed and destroyed in East Coast cities so there's not much risk of loss.
