The Adults Really ARE Back in Charge
Bringing accountability to the theatre kids, one audit at a time
For the previous four years, one of the constant refrains from the Left that we kept hearing over and over was “the adults are back in charge.” Trump is “childish” while Biden was “the adult in the room,” or so the media-driven narrative kept telling us. Trump just hung out on social media and made fun of people during his first term while Democrats did the serious business of guiding the ship of state through the rocky shoals of the modern world when Biden was in office, and all that. The whole point was to mask the serious deficiencies in the previous administration and its underlying ideational premises, deficiencies that existed at both the structural and personnel levels because of the fundamental ideological puerility of the Left.
It’s become common for observers to (only partially jokingly) note that until very recently we had a “theatre kid occupied government.” What’s that mean? Well, everything we saw from the past four years (and really, a lot longer than that) was performative - it was about giving appearances rather than getting anything useful done. All the way back to the terminally midwit show The West Wing, the belief among up-and-coming leftie PMCers was that government could essentially be conducted by stagecraft. All you have to do is write the script, teach the actors their lines, and create whatever you want out of the production. More generally, the theatre kids in government thought that they could rule the world merely by wishcasting things into reality, which explains a lot of the “questionable” spending to and through USAID and various NGO organisations. They have the very juvenile tendency to think that wanting something to be a certain way can make it so, regardless of intervening realities.
Fundamentally, that is the whole charactre of modern Western and American progressivism. Modern leftists display a whole suite of childlike behavioural patterns that, as it turns out, are not conducive to good government. Really, progressivism is essentially based on wishful thinking and daddy issues. Once you understand this, you understand about 90% of where the Left’s thought process comes from.
One good example of this is the whole transgender push. While there is obviously an element of grooming/recruiting involved with it all, the main point to it is that it’s a means of social conditioning and control. They pretend - and demand that others pretend - that boys can become girls and that girls can become boys. Until recently, they were able to punish normal people who didn’t at least pay lip service to this. Even without this power, there is still a good deal of attempting to emotionally manipulate people about the matter (you don’t want to commit TRANS GENOCIDE do you???), which is itself a means of trying to exercise power, though in a juvenile manner.
Of course, the fact that the whole trans agenda rests of wishful thinking, on the attempt to stage manage reality into accepting something blatantly at odds with it, should go without saying. There has been a concerted effort to build a Baudrillardian hyperreality around this issue, to create a “consensus reality” that muddies the distinction between fact and fiction. Baudrillard himself defined hyperreality as “…the generation by models of a real without origin or reality.” The entire process is essentially semiotic, which explains the obsession of the modern Left (not just now, they tried this in Weimar Germany in the 1920s as well) with transgenderism - it’s a spearhead which, once successfully pierced through the veil of classical reality in this one area, can justify the same exact process being carried out in any other so that any symbolic-yet-unreal consensus can be built, even if by fraud or force.
There are real world consequences to this sort of theatre kid performativism. It leads to them impeding traffic on busy highways to protest whatever their idiotic cause du jour happens to be (physics isn’t real bro!). It’s also why (ostensibly adult) Democratic elected officials think they can impede federal immigration enforcement efforts. For so long, progressives in our TKOG were able to force everyone else to go along with their delusions or face punishment. Even though they’re now not able to do this (at least here in the USA, other places in the West aren’t so lucky), they still think they can obstruct and counteract the implementation of policy simply because they don’t want these things to happen. Like little kids who can’t accept that they lost at a game, these folks believe they can roll back the results of the latest election by throwing tantrums and trying to get in the way. Hopefully, a few arrests will clear up this misconception.
What drove a lot of this was the fact that for decades the news media did, in fact, have virtually unlimited ability to shape the perceptions of reality that the average American received. Since the days of Walter Kronkite, the Regime has used the media to create an overarching, ongoing narrative that serves as a “replacement reality” for actual reality in the minds of millions. This narrative serves as a means of “guiding” the direction in which millions will go whenever something new or unexpected comes up - we’ve seen this in everything from the ongoing evolution of post-war foreign policy consensus to the COVID-19 plandemic. Progressives in the Regime got used to being able to mold public opinion, and thus public direction, any way they chose.
Of course, they no longer have this ability. Despite the Left’s best efforts, decentralisation of the internet, coupled with strategic acquisitions of social media networks (like Twitter/X by Elon Musk), have opened up the discourse in ways they simply couldn’t control. So now, all they can do is throw tantrums and lose elections. Their ability to shape and create a hyperreality which can be forced onto others has largely disappeared outside of their own circles.
The contribution which this made to the reelection of Donald Trump and the implementation of his agenda over the past 20 days cannot be overstated. This leads me back to subject broached in the very first paragraph above. It is objectively a good thing that the current administration is finally restoring some reasonableness to our government. As I noted in my previous article,
It is, in fact, the normal state of affairs for the leaders of nations to prioritise their own people first. It’s normal for nations to pursue their own economic self-interest rather than farming out their productive capacities to potential enemies. It’s normal for governments to affirm the moral and spiritual bases of their civilisations. It’s normal for governments to punish criminals and to reward those who do well, rather than the opposite (in fact, that is the primary purpose of government). It’s normal for governments to desire high birthrates and to encourage their people to “be fruitful and multiply.” It’s normal for nations to pursue realpolitik in the international realm. None of these things are radical or immoral.
This was within the context of Trump actually representing a return to normalcy, over and against the historically aberrant nature of the progressive, post-war consensus with its social, economic, and geopolitical abnormalities. But even more than just normalcy, Trump and his cadre really and truly are the “adults in the room.” They represent the reconquest of the American government by reality-based, reasonable people over and against the hyperreality that progressivism sought to enforce.
We no longer have freaks and weirdos and the obviously mentally ill occupying sensitive positions without power structure. We no longer have a man dressed as a woman demanding that we call him “Rachel” while he bedraggled our public health systems. For that matter, we no longer have another man dressed as a woman in charge of America’s nuclear waste disposal while stealing random peoples’ luggage from public airports. This is having second-order effects as well. Congresswomen are no longer countenancing their colleagues cosplaying as women, despite knowing they’ll get dragged in the media for doing so.
But even more important that the social stuff is the fact that the Trump administration is now imposing something that both children and left-wingers really don’t like, which is oversight. USAID was only the beginning, and the Left knows this, which is why they are freaking out so badly right now. As several wags have noted, “Elon is attacking corruption, so corruption is attacking Elon.” Once again, the progressives never thought that they’d actually have to give an account for the corruption that defines their charactre, but like children who get away with it once, they figured they’d get away with it forever. They’re already using their judges to try to duck accountability, but this delaying tactic isn’t likely to work in the long run. Things should get really spicy, however, when Trump and Co. succeed in getting Ron Paul into a position to audit the Fed (whooo boy!).
The whole perception of Trump-as-manchild is just another part of the Left’s hyperreality, and people who continue to buy into it look increasingly stupid. By now, it’s obvious that Trump is no longer naive, no longer willing to go along with being surrounded by moles and malingerers. Trump is serious, Vance is serious, their personnel are serious, and they’re willing to do what is needed to advance the interests of this country and its people rather than those of a small clique of ideologically-driven looters such as we’ve previously seen. I have to admit, it’s refreshing to see an American government that actually wants to do what is best for the American people. Let’s hope that they can stave off the increasingly frantic efforts by the Regime to nullify the reforms that are needed.
“Audit the Fed”
Let us hope.
After just 2 weeks, it may be a little early to make sweeping statements.
Yes, they are making the right noises and yes they have taken the bureaucracy by surprise but the blitzkrieg is just that, it remains to be seen whether the 'theatre kids' can/will fight back.
Acosta and Maddow have been effectively silenced but others will take their place. Slightly smarter and less blatant but the same agenda.
The UK thought that it had won when they voted to exit the EU, you can see how that turned out.
Do you really think that Zuckerberg and his handlers have had an epiphany?
Trump is just 'lipstick' on the Jewish-Zionist-banker pigs.
Yes the kids may have been sent to bed but only so that the Yahoos can party for a while.
